From October 2010 to September 2015, PITCO, in collaboration with International Resources Group (IRG), provided technical assistance in human resource management to utilities under the USAID-funded Power Distribution Program. The project aimed to improve the HR practices of nine government-owned electric power distribution companies (DISCOs) in Pakistan. The assistance included updating HR policies and procedures, job classification, performance management, and training and capacity building.<\/p>\n

The project involved a thorough operational assessment and audit of all DISCOs, identifying gaps in HR practices and developing improvement action plans. The assistance also included implementing a Human Resource Information System (HRIS), conducting training workshops, and improving organizational structures.
