From February 2016 to December 2016, PITCO, in collaboration with ECOFYS Germany GmbH and LEAD Pakistan, continued the development of a NAMA proposal for renewable energy solutions in Sialkot’s industrial sector. The project aimed to provide the government with a viable approach for planning and designing a practical support package for renewable energy, including financing and implementation options. The project focused on developing a scheme for installing rooftop PV panels in SMEs in Sialkot.
PITCO’s services included gap analysis of policy and institutional frameworks, technical assessments, financial analysis, stakeholder consultations, and workshops. PITCO developed a MRV system and protocol, conducted a climate finance recommendation report, and prepared a tentative NAMA implementation plan. The project aimed to enhance the adoption of renewable energy in Sialkot’s industrial sector, increase climate finance awareness, and support sustainable energy practices.
