Since March 2024, PITCO, in collaboration with DEM – Danish Energy Management A/S, has been conducting a comprehensive study on energy efficiency in the textile sector across Pakistan. This project, aims to increase the export of Danish energy efficiency solutions to Pakistan and strengthen green engagement between Pakistan and Denmark. The study is part of the Green Framework Engagement Agreement between the two countries, focusing on climate change mitigation and sustainable green transitions.

PITCO’s services include reviewing existing literature and relevant reports on energy efficiency in Pakistan’s textile industry, analyzing the National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Policy 2023, and identifying untapped potential areas for energy conservation. Our team conducts data collection through surveys, interviews, and site visits to textile manufacturing facilities, identifying energy-intensive areas and analyzing energy consumption patterns. PITCO provide potential interventions for energy efficiency, including water conservation, and assess environmental observations and socio-economic gains. Additionally, PITCO evaluate the market size for energy efficiency solutions, identify barriers to market entry, and recommend strategies for Danish companies to undertake energy efficiency projects in Pakistan.
