From March 2006 to September 2007, PITCO, in association with Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG, conducted feasibility studies for the 135 MW Patrind Hydropower Project in Muzaffarabad, AJK, Pakistan. The project aimed to assess the technical and economic viability of the hydropower plant, including rock mechanics, underground works, seismotectonic studies, hydropower planning, mechanical and electrical engineering, and environmental and social safeguard reviews.
PITCO’s services involved preparing feasibility studies, conducting rock mechanics and underground works assessments, and performing seismotectonic studies. Our team also assisted in hydropower planning, mechanical and electrical engineering, and reviewing environmental and social safeguard studies. The feasibility studies provided a comprehensive analysis of the project’s potential, identifying key challenges and opportunities for the development of the hydropower plant. The project aimed to enhance energy production and support sustainable development in the region.
