From October 2015 to February 2023, PITCO has been part of a consortium, including Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG and NESPAK, overseeing the 660 MW Supercritical Coal-Based Power Project in Karachi, Pakistan, for Lucky Electric Power Company Limited (LEPCL). The project involves planning, developing, and implementing the power plant, including preparing technical tender specifications, technical bid evaluation, and finalizing the EPC contractor.
PITCO’s services include design review, quality assurance and control, performance testing, and construction management. PITCO assist in shortlisting potential O&M bidders, ensuring the plant is designed and built according to approved specifications. The project aims to enhance energy production capacity in Karachi and supports sustainable development through advanced coal-based power generation technologies.
