From February 2016 to March 2016, PITCO served as the Owner’s Engineer for the 79.56 kW PV plant at Al-Maalik Building in Lahore, Pakistan. The project, commissioned by Shams Power (Pvt) Ltd., involved installing and operating a solar PV power plant autonomously in the private sector. The initiative aimed to provide clean power at 5% below the baseline cost of electricity, enhancing energy efficiency and sustainability for Al-Malik Building.

PITCO’s services included site survey and assessment, feasibility study, interconnection point assessment, and capacity analysis. Our team conducted in-depth shadow analysis and yield estimation, optimized the system layout, and designed the system. PITCO selected key equipment, performed structural analysis, and prepared specifications for solar PV modules and inverters. PITCO also assisted in bid evaluation, participated in procurements and contract negotiations, oversaw power plant erection, performed pre-commissioning tests, designed the earthing/grounding scheme, and commissioned the PV plant, ensuring successful integration with the existing system.
