Since November 2021, PITCO has been serving as the Owner’s Engineer for the 189 kW solar power project at various PTC Leaf & Sales Sites of British American Tobacco Pakistan. This ongoing project involves installing and operating solar PV power plants autonomously at multiple locations, including Bherkund, Roshanpura, Takhtbai, Jamal Gari, Mandani, Chamla, Mianwali Office, Paikhel, and Kunjah. The project aims to provide clean power at 5% below the baseline cost of electricity, enhancing energy efficiency and sustainability for British American Tobacco.
PITCO’s services include site survey and assessment, feasibility study, interconnection point assessment, and capacity analysis. Our team reviews the regulatory environment, performs in-depth shadow analysis and yield estimation, and optimizes the system layout. PITCO design the system, select key equipment, conduct structural analysis, and prepare specifications for solar PV modules and inverters. PITCO also assists in bid evaluation, oversees power plant erection, performs pre-commissioning tests, designs the earthing/grounding scheme, commissions the PV plant, integrates it with the existing system, and prepares an Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Plan. Additionally, PITCO study net metering requirements and applicable regulations of AEDB, NEPRA, and DISCOs.
