From October 2010 to April 2011, PITCO, as a subcontractor to International Resources Group (IRG) and funded by USAID, conducted an operational audit for Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) in Punjab, Pakistan. The audit aimed to improve FESCO’s financial, commercial, and technical performance by establishing baseline information to measure improvements and identifying areas for enhancement in governance, operations, finance, human resources, and customer service.
PITCO’s services involved comprehensive data collection and evaluation in collaboration with FESCO management. The audit covered governance, organizational structure, engineering and operations, financial management, commercial management, human resources, and communications. Our team conducted performance benchmarking, identified areas for improvement, reviewed board policies, and assessed organizational design. PITCO also evaluated transmission and distribution systems, financial management processes, commercial procedures, and human resource management systems. The project aimed to enhance FESCO’s operational efficiency, financial transparency, and service quality.
