From April 2012 to August 2013, PITCO, in collaboration with International Resource Group (IRG), supported the Municipality Water Supply Efficiency Improvement Program at the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad, Pakistan. The project, funded by USAID, aimed to upgrade physical infrastructure by replacing inefficient water pumping equipment to achieve operational efficiencies and improved service delivery. The project involved engaging ISO-9906 certified pump-suppliers to provide efficient pump-sets for CDA’s water supply system.

PITCO’s services included preparing technical, financial, and economic feasibility studies, bidding documents, and selecting pump-set suppliers. PITCO conducted pre-installation audits, coordinated with CDA for site identification, designed suitable pump-sets, and performed post-installation audits. Our team also supervised the recovery of old pump-sets, conducted social and environmental impact assessments, and monitored project implementation. The initiative aimed to reduce electricity consumption, improve water supply efficiency, and enhance service delivery for CDA.
