From November 2016 to February 2018, PITCO, in collaboration with Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG, conducted feasibility studies, detailed designs, and prepared tender documents for improving safe and clean drinking water supply in District DG Khan, Punjab, Pakistan. This project was part of the Khadim-e-Punjab Saaf Pani Program, initiated by the Government of Punjab to provide integrated, sustainable, safe, and clean drinking water in accordance with WHO guidelines. The project aimed to address the water supply needs of approximately 26,000 villages in rural and peri-urban areas.

PITCO’s services included analyzing the current water supply situation, assessing available water resources, and reviewing existing water supply infrastructure. Our team developed design parameters, reviewed design standards, projected population and water demand, and assessed water production and quality. PITCO conducted options analyses for water sources, production facilities, treatment technologies, reservoirs, distribution systems, power supply, and civil structures. The project involved preliminary design, organizational and operational aspects, environmental and social impact reviews, engineering cost estimates, financial and economic analyses, and procurement strategy and implementation plans. The initiative aimed to ensure the sustainable development of water supply infrastructure, improving access to clean drinking water in District DG Khan.
