High Commission of Canada to Pakistan in Islamabad

PITCO undertook the energy, water, and waste audits of three buildings owned and operated by the High Commission of Canada to Pakistan in Islamabad, from November 2023 to April 2024. This initiative aimed to prepare for a BOMA BEST certification, which is part of the Global Affairs Canada (GAC) Sustainable Buildings Program established in 2007 to reduce the environmental footprint of Canada’s diplomatic missions. The project involved a comprehensive audit to identify opportunities for conservation measures that generate cost savings and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The project services included conducting detailed energy audits, water flow measurements, and waste assessments. Our team reviewed all utility systems, performed onsite measurements, and identified energy-saving opportunities. PITCO conducted a lights-out audit, instantaneous water flow measurements, and a comprehensive survey of water-consuming equipment. Waste audits involved volumetric assessments, calculation of waste diversion rates, and preparation of a Waste Reduction Work Plan. The final deliverables included in-depth reports detailing the findings, proposed conservation measures, and techno-economic analyses.
