Client:
Dawood Hercules Chemicals (Private) Limited
From 2009 to 2011, PITCO, in collaboration with First Climate AG Zurich Switzerland, executed a gas turbine cogeneration project for Dawood Hercules Chemicals Limited (DHCL) in Lahore, Pakistan. The project involved installing a 10.6 MW gas turbine and a 46 TPH Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) to efficiently meet power and steam demands, displacing less efficient boilers and steam turbo-generators, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
PITCO’s services included assessing site conditions, conducting economic analysis, and preparing the financial feasibility of the project. Our team evaluated the technical viability of HRSGs, selected the appropriate CDM methodology, and conducted environmental, social, and developmental impact assessments. PITCO prepared a request for proposals for a CDM Validator/designated operational entity (DOE), supported the client in hiring the DOE, and developed the CDM PDD. PITCO assisted with host country approval, conducted stakeholder consultations, prepared a CDM monitoring manual, and provided post-registration support for project monitoring.
