Client:
PTEGP, Government of Punjab
From May 2022 to May 2024, PITCO provided consultancy services for solar energy design and supervision at heritage sites in Punjab, Pakistan. The project, led by the Punjab Tourism for Economic Growth Project (PTEGP), aimed to lower energy consumption and promote energy conservation at selected heritage sites. The project involved assessing energy needs and designing solar energy systems at seven heritage sites, including Jahangir’s Tomb, Shalimar Gardens, Hiran Minar, Rothas Fort, Taxila Museum, Harappa Museum, and Wah Garden.
PITCO’s services included conducting site surveys and feasibility studies, interconnection point assessment, and capacity analysis. Our team reviewed the regulatory environment, performed in-depth shadow analysis and yield estimation, and optimized the system layout. PITCO selected key equipment, conducted structural analysis, and prepared specifications for solar PV modules and inverters. PITCO also assisted in bid evaluation, oversaw power plant erection, performed pre-commissioning tests, and designed the earthing/grounding scheme. The project concluded with commissioning the PV plants, integrating them with the existing systems, and preparing O&M plans.
