Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO)

From October 2022 to November 2022, PITCO conducted a comprehensive carbon footprint assessment and detailed energy audits for Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO) across Punjab and Sindh, Pakistan. The project aimed to support PSO’s strategy to incorporate energy efficiency and conservation in its projects, reducing carbon emissions and environmental impact. The audit covered bulk oil storages, assessing energy consumption, operational processes, and identifying opportunities for energy savings and operational improvements.

PITCO’s services included developing detailed energy audit and carbon footprint assessment questionnaires, conducting site visits to seven designated locations, reviewing operational processes, and analyzing energy consumption data. Our team assessed power quality, lighting systems, and identified opportunities for savings in electrical energy usage. PITCO also performed carbon footprinting by identifying emission sources, categorizing emissions into Scope 1 and Scope 2, and calculating emissions based on international standards. The final deliverables included a comprehensive energy audit report and carbon footprint assessment, providing recommendations for efficient energy use and emission reduction.
