From November 2016 to June 2017, PITCO conducted a carbon footprint assessment for Indus Motor Company Pakistan in Karachi. The project aimed to assess GHG emissions for the assessment year 2016 using the GHG Protocol as the methodological framework. The assessment included the entire boundary of factory operations, focusing on three sectors: vehicle fleet fuel combustion, energy consumption, and business air travel and paper consumption.

PITCO’s services included establishing a detailed methodological approach for sectoral scenario assessment, identifying operational boundaries, and conducting a detailed assessment of each sector. Our team identified emission sources, calculated sectoral GHG projections, and conducted comparative analysis of GHG emissions over different years. PITCO also undertook low-carbon scenario assessments, identifying sources, calculating emissions projections, and formulating mitigation strategies for GHG abatement. The final deliverables included a comprehensive report detailing sectoral GHG projections and recommended mitigation strategies.
