From March 2006 to March 2007, PITCO facilitated governance and administrative reforms at the Government of Punjab, funded by the European Commission. This project aimed to improve the governance and administrative capacity of the Chief Minister (CM) & Chief Secretary (CS) Secretariats and the Implementation & Coordination (I&C) Department. The focus was on incorporating best practices in public administration, ensuring transparency, and enhancing service delivery at the district and tehsil levels.
PITCO’s services included analyzing organizational needs, building capacity, and implementing information management systems within the Government of Punjab. Our team developed monitoring procedures, performance measurement systems, and decision-making processes to improve service delivery and transparency. PITCO supported the issuance and tracking of CM & CS directives, monitored execution, and integrated local planning instruments into the provincial planning cycle. The project aimed to improve access to information, enhance planning and decision-making, and ensure accountability in public administration.
