From October 2018 to May 2019, PITCO, as a sub-contractor to Development Environergy Services Ltd. (DESL), conducted an energy audit of the thermal power plant at Indigo Textile (Pvt) Ltd. in Karachi, Pakistan. The project, funded by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), aimed to optimize thermal operations, including steam and hot water systems, heat recovery systems, and other related components. The audit was conducted to ascertain direct and indirect combustion efficiencies with the intent to enhance operational efficiency.
The services provided included a pre-assessment questionnaire, on-site surveys, data collection to ascertain design parameters, baseline conditions assessment, and evaluation of fuel quality and generation efficiency. Our team also assessed energy consumption, organized workshops to train factory personnel, and developed detailed energy audit reports. The audit identified opportunities for optimizing thermal operations and improving overall plant efficiency.
